QA Mobile Automation Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a senior QA Mobile Automation Engineer B. to ensure the quality and reliability of our mobile applications on iOS and Android. This role combines hands-on manual testing with automation efforts to deliver robust, user-friendly mobile experiences.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to design and execute test strategies, uncover complex defects, and help drive continuous improvement in quality practices. The role offers the opportunity to influence test approach and balance manual and automated testing across the mobile stack.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual test plans and test cases for mobile features and releases.
• Develop, maintain, and run mobile functional automation tests for iOS or Android.
• Investigate, reproduce, and document defects; work with engineering to prioritize fixes.
• Collaborate with product, design, and development teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure release readiness.
• Create clear, actionable test reports and status updates for stakeholders.
• Review and improve test processes, tooling, and coverage to increase efficiency.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to Agile planning and estimations.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and share best practices for mobile testing and debugging.

Requirements

• 4+ years of quality assessment and automation experience in mobile testing.
• Proven background writing mobile functional automation tests on iOS or Android platforms.
• Excellent understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Experience performing 50–60% manual testing and \~40% automation testing as part of daily responsibilities.
• Good understanding of version control systems such as GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a passion for debugging complex issues.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A team player who values collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.

Nice to Have

• Experience with mobile test frameworks such as Espresso, JetPack Compose, or XCUITest.
